I attended a CanJam recently and bought a set of headphones that had an extremeky long cord 6’). Since I bought them at a show, I could not choose the cord length. I tried several cords that caused the highs to screech, so I was a little discouraged. However when I purchased balanced cables from Arachne, they were perfect. They did not effect the headphone tuning and I was able plsy them both with and without a Dac/Amp and without, with a flat EQ, plus I did not have 6’ of cables dangling while I listened.

I've been a dedicated audiophile for more than 60 years and have owned or auditioned many cable products, including cables from Kimber, Nordost, Cardas, Audioquest, and others. In the course of this hobby I've encountered some brands whose claims to excellence were nothing more than hyperbole or snake oil. However, after buying a set of Arachne headphone cables to use with my new Sennheiser HD 660S2 set I am pleased to say that their products are the real deal: very well made; audiophile quality sound; custom color choices; and reasonably quick delivery. I purchased the Aranea Series balanced XLR cable from Arachne Audio for my Sennheiser HD650, equipped with Furutech connectors on both ends and a 2-meter length. My current setup consists of:
Headphones: Sennheiser HD650
DAC/Amplifier: Burson Conductor 3XP (balanced output).
Even with a smartphone as my source, the difference this cable makes is astonishing.
The Furutech connectors, the build quality, and the craftsmanship of Arachne Audio are outstanding. The cable looks and feels premium, but even more importantly, it sounds like a true high-end upgrade.
