The DT 700 Pro X (closed) and DT 900 Pro X (open) are Beyerdynamic's current studio monitoring line: 48-ohm, designed for USB interface use, and notably more neutral in tuning than the older DT series. Both use a shared ear cup geometry with a distinctive oval shape. Dekoni offers two materials for this platform.
Available materials
Elite Velour: Premium velour, memory foam fill. The acoustically conservative choice: preserves the Pro X's monitoring character and flat response. If you bought the DT 900 Pro X because it sounds accurate and want it to continue sounding accurate with better pads, this is the answer. The improved memory foam distribution also reduces the pressure fatigue that comes with long studio sessions.
Elite Sheepskin: Real sheepskin, solid face. Adds warmth and bass weight, which the relatively neutral DT 700/900 Pro X can absorb without becoming bass-heavy. The closed DT 700 Pro X in particular gains some useful low-end reinforcement. Real leather construction is more durable than the stock material and ages better.
