My OEM original Sennheiser 650 cord died. I live in an apartment where watching a movie loud enough that I can hear it properly and hear the music properly is a problem, especially at night. So for the last three years, I have watched everything listening with Sennheiser 650 headphones.
I ordered a factory replacement, which I could get within three days. But I had always been curious about whether better cords existed.
And it took about a month to get them. I could tell a noticeable improvement in depth and warmth. A definite improvement in enjoyability.
I have decided that it’s not my imagination. I also like the braided black cord and the custom length. I ordered a couple feet longer cord than the original.
I am quite satisfied, can recommend them, and would order them again.
I am sort of reminded of what happened when I bought a new home theater system with a lot more power. The same speakers bloomed with much more stage presence and clarity.
It makes me speculate that although there shouldn’t be that much difference in current, perhaps there is. Or perhaps over the years, the original cord, oxidize corroded.
Anyway, I’m very happy
