Grado headphones are an acquired taste: on-ear, open-back, made in Brooklyn, and with a house sound that prioritises midrange presence and treble detail over bass weight or spacious imaging. The stock foam pads are characteristically minimal. Dekoni offers three alternatives that each take the Grado sound in a different direction without losing what makes a Grado a Grado.

Elite Velour: High-grade velour, memory foam fill. The neutral option. Distributes the on-ear contact pressure more evenly than the stock foam, which reduces the characteristic Grado hotspot pressure. The open acoustic character and midrange clarity stay intact. For Grado users who love the sound but find the stock pads uncomfortable for long sessions, this is the direct fix.
Elite Sheepskin Velour: A hybrid construction: sheepskin outer, velour driver face. Grado-specific material designed to add warmth and bass body to a headphone that traditionally underrepresents the low end, while keeping the velour acoustic face to prevent closing down the presentation completely. A meaningful tuning shift for listeners who want the Grado detail without the lean bass.
Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin Velour: Fenestrated sheepskin with velour driver face. The most acoustically open of the three leather options. Real sheepskin construction adds body and warmth; the perforations and velour face keep the Grado's signature openness largely intact. For listeners who want the leather feel with the minimum possible acoustic consequence.
