A fermata is the mark that tells a musician to hold a note for as long as it feels right. This is the same idea, executed in leather.
It keeps a coiled cable right where it belongs: tucked in a drawer, packed in a bag on the way somewhere, or resting on stage between sets. No velcro to wear down, no rubber to perish over time. Just a single strip of leather and a solid brass stud, exactly as much as the job requires.
It works just as well on headphone cables, microphone cables, and guitar and instrument cables alike.
Hand-cut in Tallinn from premium vegetable-tanned leathers from Tuscany’s famed Badalassi Carlo tannery, available in both rustic Pueblo and smooth veg-tan finishes. They start structured and develop a deep, personal patina with handling, darkening and picking up character over the years. The spider icon is deeply stamped into the grain so it stays.
As with any natural leather, no two pieces are exactly alike. Grain, tone, and markings vary slightly from one to the next, so the one you receive is yours alone.
