I purchased the Aranea Series balanced XLR cable from Arachne Audio for my Sennheiser HD650, equipped with Furutech connectors on both ends and a 2-meter length. My current setup consists of:
Headphones: Sennheiser HD650
DAC/Amplifier: Burson Conductor 3XP (balanced output).
Even with a smartphone as my source, the difference this cable makes is astonishing.
The Furutech connectors, the build quality, and the craftsmanship of Arachne Audio are outstanding. The cable looks and feels premium, but even more importantly, it sounds like a true high-end upgrade.
I expected a subtle improvement — what I experienced was a major uplift in performance. This cable exceeded my highest expectations. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to unlock the full potential of the HD650, especially when paired with a high-quality amplifier like the Burson Conductor 3XP.

Even with a smartphone as my source, the difference this cable makes is astonishing. The moment I plugged it in, the sound opened up dramatically. Music became fuller, richer, and more spacious — almost as if the HD650 had unlocked a higher tier of performance.
The improvement in detail retrieval is remarkable: micro-details, textures, and subtle nuances are now clearer and more lifelike. Bass feels tighter and better controlled, the midrange gains body without losing clarity, and the treble becomes cleaner and more refined. The entire presentation feels more effortless and dynamic.

Wow just wow. Couldn’t have been more helpful and the cable is amazing.
There was a difficulty with FedEx's known address ingest problem where my apartment number was cut off and FedEx could not deliver. I e-mailed Albert and he updated FedEx within minutes and my headphones were delivered the next day.
Audio never sounded better than using balanced audio out through the 4.4mm TRRS plug via ArachneAudio balanced cable to Senheisser HD600 inputs! I have an older balanced cable and several high-quality single-ended cables to compare to, and I feel like the lower frequencies especially are enhanced. Or maybe it is just observer bias. The cable looks good, and appears to have been made very robustly (which I NEED). The 'flat weave' is new to me, and seems to distribute strain on the cable without any bends or twists.
I will let you know in a few years...

As good as connectors can get. Material and use/fitting is perfect. I'm glad i opted for them - cry once, buy once :)
Over the past year my smal collection of Arachne cables grew to 6 cables in different colors according to termination. All of those share the basic attributes, feel good in hand, soft and pliable. The colors on offer look really nice, all termination options I have (XL4, 6.3mm, 3.5mm, mini-XL4) are of good quality.
Only thing I'm missing is the termination for the Austrian Audio Composer...

I made an error at my order and the Arachne service team fixed my mistake by trustfully sending me a replacement cable prior to my return.
Now I am very happy with a perfect cable for my Meze headphone :-)
