Your high-impedance Beyerdynamics are hungry for power. By default, they use a "Single-Ended" wiring scheme (sharing a common ground), which limits their compatibility with high-performance Balanced Amplifiers.

This service is a total internal overhaul. We separate the grounds, rewire the drivers, and modify the chassis to allow for True Balanced Operation.

Why Go Balanced?

• More Power: Balanced amplifiers often output double the voltage of single-ended outputs. This is critical for waking up 600Ω drivers.
• Eliminate Crosstalk: Separating the ground wires prevents the Left and Right channels from bleeding into each other, widening the soundstage.
• Cable Versatility: Use your headphones with high-end 4.4mm Pentaconn or 4-Pin XLR chains.

Connector Options (Select One):

1. Dual 3.5mm Sockets (The "Audiophile Standard")

• The Mod: We drill a new hole in the Right cup and install matching 3.5mm sockets on both sides (L+R). We completely bypass/remove the headband wire.
• The Benefit: Maximum cable compatibility. This converts your Beyerdynamic to use the exact same cables as Hifiman (Sundara/Arya), Focal (Clear/Elex).
• Best For: DT 770, DT 880, DT 990.

2. 4-Pin Mini-XLR (The "Stealth" Balanced)

• The Mod: We keep the single-sided cable look (Left cup only) but install a 4-Pin Mini-XLR socket. We re-wire the internal headband cable to carry separated grounds.
• The Benefit: Keeps the classic "Studio" aesthetic while enabling balanced drive. Secure locking connector.
• Best For: DT 880, DT 990, Tygr 300 R.

• Need a Balanced Cable? You will need a specific cable to take advantage of this mod. Check out our Aranea or Medusa series and select 4.4mm or XLR termination.

Hygiene & Condition Policy (Read Before Ordering)

For the safety of our technicians, we enforce a strict Zero Tolerance Policy regarding hygiene.

• Cleanliness: Please ensure your headphones are free of excessive ear wax, hair, pet dander, or sticky residue before shipping.
• The Policy: We cannot accept headphones that show signs of mold, insect infestation, strange odors (smoke/mildew), or fluid damage.
• Action: If we receive headphones in an unsanitary condition, we will not work on them. They will be returned to you at your expense, and a handling fee may apply. Please inspect and wipe down your headphones before packing!

How It Works

1. Place Your Order: Select your conversion style above.
2. Prep & Ship: Wipe down your headphones to ensure they are clean, pack them securely, and ship to the address provided in your confirmation email.
3. The Overhaul: Our technicians disassemble the drivers, cut the voice coil traces to separate grounds, install the new sockets, and test for phase and balance.
4. We Ship Back: You receive tracking info once your transformed headphones are on their way home.
