The Audeze Mobius is a closed-back gaming headphone with head-tracking and 3D audio processing built in. The Penrose is its wireless sibling without the head-tracking. Both use planar magnetic drivers, which is unusual at the gaming headset price point, and the result is notably better low-frequency texture than dynamic-driver gaming headsets can manage. The stock pads are adequate. Dekoni's Choice range replaces them with materials built to last longer and feel better doing it.
Available materials
Choice Leather: Protein leather over memory foam. Maintains the closed seal the Mobius needs for both isolation and the 3D audio processing to work correctly. Memory foam adapts to the ear shape rather than pressing uniformly against it, which reduces hotspot fatigue over long gaming sessions. The leather exterior holds up to daily use considerably better than the stock material.
Choice Suede: Microsuede outer, memory foam fill. More breathable than leather; noticeably cooler on the ears. The seal remains sufficient for the Mobius to function normally. A reasonable trade if thermal comfort during extended play is a priority.
