The Fostex TH-X00 was a Drop collaboration that brought the TH-900 platform to a wider market, and the Dekoni Blue is Dekoni's own variant of the same driver and cup combination. Both share a specific cup geometry that Dekoni knows intimately — the Blue is literally their headphone. The Elite Hybrid pad was designed with this platform in mind.
The Elite Hybrid for the X00 and Blue combines a velour driver face with leather surrounds and memory foam fill. The velour face pulls the bass-heavy Fostex/Dekoni signature back toward neutral by reducing the full-cup seal effect; the leather surrounds maintain durability and provide thermal management. For X00 owners who find the stock sound a bit much in the low end, this is the targeted fix.
