The Headphone Hero is a collaboration between Dekoni and SKB, the American hard case manufacturer. SKB makes cases for touring musicians and broadcast equipment. The Headphone Hero applies that logic to headphones: a waterproof, crushproof hard shell with a padded interior sized for large over-ear headphones.
If you are travelling with something expensive and irreplaceable, the Savior's soft shell is a reasonable choice. If you are checking it as baggage or throwing it into a van with other gear, the Hero's hard shell is what you want. The latching system, the gasket seal, and the overall construction are SKB's standard touring gear spec applied to audio.
