While we specialize in Beyerdynamic and Grado, we have years of experience modding a wide variety of "Fixed Cable" headphones. Whether it's a studio classic like the Sony MDR-7506 or a planar magnetic Fostex, we can likely convert it to a modern detachable system.

STOP: Read Before Ordering Do NOT purchase this service without contacting us first. Every headphone is built differently. We need to verify that your specific model has enough internal space to safely house a socket.

Commonly Supported Models

These are models we frequently mod. You still need to contact us, but the answer is usually "Yes".

• Sony: MDR-7506, MDR-V6, CD900ST.

• Fostex: T50RP (Mk2/Mk3), T40RP, T20RP.

• Audio-Technica: AD Series (AD700X, AD900X, AD2000X), A-Series (Art Monitor), older M50 (Non-X).

• Creative: Aurvana Live! (CAL!).

• Denon: Older AH-D series (D1001, D2000, D5000, D7000).

Unsupported Models

We generally DO NOT mod the following:

• Bluetooth / Wireless Headphones: (Sony XM Series, Bose QC, etc.) -> Too packed with batteries and delicate PCBs.
• Cheap Gaming Headsets: (Razer, Logitech, Turtle Beach) -> Often use low-quality plastic that melts or hair-thin enamelled wiring.
• Electrostatics: (Stax) -> High voltage safety risk.

The Mod: What do you get?

• Connector: Typically a 3.5mm Female Socket (Standard).

• Note: Depending on the internal space of your specific headphone, we may recommend a different solution. We will discuss this with you beforehand.

Hygiene & Condition Policy

For the safety of our technicians, we enforce a strict Zero Tolerance Policy.

• Cleanliness: Please inspect your ear pads. If the foam is crumbling or the pads are soaked in sweat/oils, please remove them before shipping.
• Rejection: We cannot accept headphones with mold, insect infestation, or fluid damage. Unsanitary units will be returned at your expense.

Cables Sold Separately

This service covers the labor and parts for the socket installation only.

• Need a Cable? Once modded, your headphones will be compatible with our Aranea or Medusa cables.
